1. Objectives

  • The global objective of this project was to improve the care taking and the development of the children.
  • To solve the problem of water provision for the children in the kindergarten
  • To put at the disposal for the teacher and the children drinkable water
  • To facilitate the children's supervision by the training staff
  • To minimize the risk of water diseases

2. Strategies

  • Sectors meetings were held to identify the need of the community
  • When the project was financed the Centre Chief informs the Parents Committee, the chief of the village, the kindergarten's Parents Association, the kindergarten teacher and the community.
  • During the implementation of the project, under the supervision of the Centre staff, the families were organised to help the contractor by making work such as excavation, digging and water providing.

3. Results

  • The main activity is the construction of the water tank
  • The water tank enable the kindergarten to have access to drinkable water and thus improving the well-being and healthy development the children

4. Difficulties

  • The construction was delayed due to the cement shortage

5. Perspectives

  • The kindergarten parents association in collaboration with the kindergarten teachers will be responsible for the maintenance of the water tank.
